This community is positioned not too far from Sudley Road, aka Route 234, and close to a plethora of business's and restaurants. We also do not want to forget that it is a hop and a skip to Old Town Manassas and all the events, attractions, and dinning it has to offer. Prince William Hospital and its excellent Hylton Birthing Center are a short mile away from the community for piece of mind.
Sumner Lake was built between 2001 and 2004 which makes the homes almost new and slightly broken in for new buyers. The Airston Group one of the original builders of the community describes it best, "Tucked away in Manassas, Sumner Lake is a historically inspired community that evokes the feeling of a small town from the 1800's, with a lake, several community parks and period architectural detail."
The lake is perfectly placed at one end of the community and is great to enjoy during a brisk walk on surrounding trails, or if you own one of the overlooking homes. It can even be enjoyed during winter as you can see in these pictures.
The current schools for the neighborhood are Haydon for Elementry, Grace E Metz the middle school, and the high school is the 2006 state football champs Osbourn High.
With the current market conditions the prices of the homes have declined to prices last seen in 2003-2004 when the community was being completed. This makes the homes an excellent value for the long term purchasers looking for a good home. If you would like to tour the neighborhood and current listings please contact me.
