Photowalking in Kentlands:  Gaithersburg Summer Flowers

 

When the days of summer are very hot, the early morning is a good time to get out and about and take a walk through the community.  Most of us need a little more exercise and all of us want to know what is happening in the neighborhood.  Add a camera in hand and your exercise becomes a photowalk.

My walking routine includes a mental exercise of seeking the colors of the season.  During the summer, much of the color is found in flowers in the Kentlands and Lakelands communities in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  When families are relocated to the metropolitan area of Washington, DC, we know that they will surely appreciate the quality of life that is available in the Gaithersburg area.

These photographs show some of the beauty provided by nature in our neighborhood.

It is always a pleasure to hear from you.  Give photowalking a try for your physical and mental health.  It is easy to set aside the problems of the day when you focus you attention on a beautiful plant or flower.  At the end of the summer, you may see the final blooms of the season.
