Yes, Hurricane Isaac decided to turn Wellington into waterfront property Sunday and Monday.  Here is a photo taken by the local Channel 5 Chopper of Wellington Florida right after Hurricane Isaac brought outer bands of rain, thunderstorms, winds and more rain, rain, rain.

Wellington Floods by Hurricane Isaac

Most of Wellington is in a 100 year flood plane which means that this type of flooding is highly unlikely. Even the unlikely can happen. We are almost all back to normal now.

Nestor and Katerina, this photo helps us understand the devastation that Isaac has caused.  I pray that no one was injured and the water recedes as quickly as possible.  My thoughts are with everyone in the storm's path.

I feel so sorry for those people out there.

FEMA says that everyone should have flood insurance whether you are in an X-Flood Zone or an X-500 Flood Zone. All other zones need to get the insurance but we FEMA members are told just because it has not happen does not mean that it will not happenno matter what Zone you live in.

Lots of locations are feeling the effects of this storm and it's not pretty. The aerial photo really captures the scope of the flooding. Hope things get back to normal for you soon.

Hi Katerina,

Just stopping by to let you know that I am thinking of you and your family during this time.  I read your email about the experience.

I hope your family is doing well despite the flooding.

That picture sure looks scary.  I hope it looks worse than it is.

Tni

Katerina- I'd heard about the flooding in Wellington but had not seen the aerial picture of it.  Please tell Nestor that I'm sending prayers his way for his Father.
