Top 5 Cary Lunch Restaurants – Family Owned, Operated and Really, Really GOOD!

Here are our Top 5 Cary Lunch Restaurants in no particular order -

La Farm Bakery: Stepping into La Farm Bakery, you’ll think you’ve taken a trip to Provence (see picture to the left). The rustic atmosphere and the homemade breads, pastries and delicious sandwiches make this place a gem. Oui? Open: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Fan Favorite: Fresh Chicken Salad on Fresh Homemade Croissant, and any of the delish and fresh bakery items. It’s fresh… all of it, and totally delicious.

Danny’s BBQ: Who doesn’t like a good Carolina BBQ? Danny’s BBQ is by far a local favorite. From the pork, chicken, and brisket to the “fixin’s” (and of course that Southern sweet tea), Danny’s BBQ has the Cary area well fed. Open: Lunch, Dinner, Fan Favorite(s): Pulled Pork, and choose your sauce – Eastern Style, Western Style, or HOT, Homemade Banana Pudding, just like Grandma used to make

Ashworth Drugs Soda Fountain: Whether you are a true-blue (and very rare) Cary native, or a transplant, chances are that you’ve heard about this local haunt. Truly a trip to a bygone era, it is a treat to sit at the lunch counter at the Soda Fountain at Ashworth’s… many a childhood memory, and a GREAT hotdog has been from here. Open: Lunch, Fan Favorites: Grilled Cheese (truly old-school), Footlong Hotdogs, Malted Shake. Flashback to the 1950’s, and sitting at the counter will make anyone feel like a kid again.

Serendipity Gourmet Deli: All we can say is YUM! Got a hankerin’ for some all-natural and healthy lunchtime fare? Look no further than Serendipity Deli. Soups, salad, sandwiches and more… and be sure to sit on the patio. You’ll be so relaxed, you might forget to head back to work. Is that so bad? Open: Lunch, Dinner, Fan Favorite: Chicken Salad Sandwich and a big piece of Carrot Cake… it’s all natural so it’s good for you. Right?!

Neomonde’s Deli: Well, it’s not exactly in Cary, but close enough. Nestled in Morrisville, this Middle Eastern eatery is close to RTP and Cary, so Couscous, Taboule, and Chicken Gyros are never far away. Be sure to bring some home, or you might be in trouble… we’re warning you! Open: Lunch, Dinner, Fan Favorite: Delicious Chicken Schwarma and don’t leave without a piece of their famous, fresh Baklava!
