I not only sell houses in Brighton, Michigan, but I live here as well, and can really appreciate all that downtown Brighton Michigan has to offer.
These are the top 10 reasons why I love downtown Brighton, MI:
Free and Ample Parking – There is free parallel parking along Main Street and Grand River Ave. There are also plenty of free parking lots in downtown – including the one at City Hall (Brighton City parking lot) which is close to the Imagination Station.
Imagination Station – The kiddies will love to slide, climb, crawl and more at this huge 10,000 sq. ft. wooden playground. Adults, guardians and parents will love that there is only one entrance/exit making it easier to watch the little ones. Please see photo below.
Flowers- The beautiful and bountiful hanging flower baskets seen not just in downtown Brighton but up and down Grand River as you head out of the downtown area. Please see photo below.
Restaurants – There is a wide variety of restaurants in downtown Brighton including Japanese – Sagano, Italian – Ciao Amici and Buon Gusto, Stout Irish Pub, Bagger Dave’s Burgers and so many more that it is worthy of another blog post. There are several restaurants where you can sit and eat outside.
Mill Pond – This is a great place to stroll, watch the waterfowl including geese and ducks – usually with baby ducklings and goslings – or just sit and relax. You can take the boardwalk all the way from the Mill Pond to Grand River Ave near the Border Cantina Mexican restaurant – about one mile each way. Along the way you can stop and admire the large turtles, otters and more aquatic life. Please see photos below.
