When writing a contract, measure twice and cut once!

Wiser words have never been spoken.  Carpenters and builders have followed sage advice like this to produce better efficiencies within the build project.

How does that advice apply to a real estate agent?

Writing a contract for purchase comes to mind.  Many times throughout my life I have witnessed FAST and LOOSE contract preparation only to see several days pass before ratification is complete due to simple errors.  Sometimes those loose ends can even unhinge an entire transaction by keeping a contract "open" for one day too many.

Remember, measure twice and cut once.  It can be a time saver as well as a deal saver.

Good advice. Make sure that you know what you are writing and what each clause means. Do not practice law.
