Today is Sept 1st. This Escrow is scheduled to close Friday, Sept 7th. This is the message I got from the lender:

Hello John, we have everything to the lender for final closing and release of loan docs for the Smiths. They are running at least 3 days to clear the fine, then at least 2 days to have docs sent to escrow. We should be able to order the final loan docs next week sometime. I will keep you all posted for the final signing, then we are done. Almost there but please be patient in these very busy times for the banks, they are slow.   Have a good weekend, just wanted to keep you all updated.

On reading this, I do not know or do not understand whether he is saying we can close on time. Maybe I am just too dumb to understand but I do not know any more now than I did before getting this message.

It sounds as if the final conditions have been submitted for the underwriter's final review and issue the clear to close.  Based on the timeline they described and Monday being a holiday, I don't see how you will be closing on the 7th.  Sorry.
