This isn’t about real estate, but some days are too special not to share.
Today I went to see Edna Haynes. The sitter said she’s not really asleep – talk to her. Today she was awake and alert and instead of being somewhere in the past in her mind, we had a good talk. It was a special day.
I did a blog about a very special person back in February, about how I’d found Daily Guidepost books – 10 over a 15 year span – in which someone never missed a day of making a brief note of thanksgiving or prayer. I’d found her then and had the pleasure of sharing these books with her family.
I’ve given away or left in a variety of places a lot of the unmarked books, which I find in used book stores and thrift stores, each with a note telling the story of Edna Haynes. After this visit, I had to go to the thrift store with the good book section – just in case. There were 10 more Daily Guideposts waiting for me.
