The new school clothes purchased along with the notebooks, backpacks and shoes. I see kids with bright, expectant faces ready to face the new challenges. I hear both the sigh of relief of getting back to a normal routine and the click of the camera as it records the first days. I see lingering hugs of parents sending their little ones off for the first time, our lives change each year at this time.
I find the change of seasons to be exhilarating and exciting. We cruise out of the third quarter and into the final quarter of our year knowing what we have done is not as much as we are planning to do. Not to get ahead of myself, but I can imagine a nice holiday season based on the work of today. I know that helping people achieve their goals has always been my number one goal. I know that listening is more important than talking. I know that understanding another’s point of view allows me to provide information that will enhance that understanding, or change it all together. I know that by helping people I am building community and changing neighborhoods. I know what no politician seems to be talking about on either side that the housing recovery is in full swing and this is the engine that will drive our economy. It isn’t tax cuts, or new taxes, it is jobs and stability for many Americans of all political parties. What we need is universal and how we get there, or how we set our priorities may be different, but what we want is the same.
I choose to focus on my clients needs, my community desires and the growth of the neighborhoods I serve. This is a full time job and one that demands great effort in a variety of differing disciplines. Construction, Finance, Real Estate Law, Psychology and more are skills that are needed daily. I am up for that challenge and thrilled with the changes in our lives.
