HOW DO YOU DRESS YOUR WEINER?

HA! Got you to look with this blog title didn't I? The picture above is my cute little wiener dog Jack. He allowed me to put him in one of his costumes. This year, he will be the ultimate "Hot Dog"! He is "relishing" his new look! He really "cuts the mustard"! Oh please make me stop!

There are always fun events in The Woodlands for pets. We are fortunate that we have plenty of dog parks, miles of hike and bike paths for walking our pooches and fun events for pets. The SPCA annual Mutt Strutt is always a favorite event too!

The various dog parks in The Woodlands are:

    • The Bear Branch Dog Friendly Area is 2+ very shady acres, separated into a large dog section and a small dog section. There is water available in both areas and many benches.
 
    • Cattail Park is approximately one acre in size. It is separated into a large dog section and a small dog section.
 
    • Harper's Landing is a smaller in size at less than one acre, and is not divided for large and small dogs.
 
    • Tamarac Park's Dog Friendly area is the newest dog park. It is spacious at more than an acre in size and very well shaded with large, mature trees. The entire area is covered in mulch as opposed to grass or exposed earth. There are several benches and a water source.
 
  • Terramont Park is tailor-made for the little dogs. Terramont Park is diverse in it's offerings for recreation, leaving only a small area available for dogs. This is perfect, however, for the multitude of Yorkies, Chiuauas and Shih Tzus that are so popular for their tiny statures.

So how are you going to dress your wiener or your pooch this year? Are you one of us who shamelessly dresses up our dogs for our entertainment? Don't you know they are thinking, "Puleeze, can they just stop?"

Gay - dog parks are so much fun.  We are fortunate to have so many here.  Also, many of our apartment complexes have their own parks as well.

Thanks for sharing the photo and jokes Paula.  This reminds me of my wife's recently departed little min pin who enjoyed every silly costume, shirt or coat that he could get and always pranced around proudly whenever getting a new outfit.

LOL you sure made me smile Paula!  What a little cutie!  I used to dress up my shitsu for Halloween and he seemed to actully like it - and all the attention he received.  And yes.....your dog does cut the mustard!

Jack looks adorable in his little wiener outfit! I love the events the SPCA put on, and our local Richmond SPCA will be having their upcoming Fur Ball, a black tie event with animals included...always a huge attraction!

Oh My Paula ... soooo funny!

YES we are going to get together but we got robbed last night and this is going to be a long process to clean up!

They cut all the power on Saturday (we left Friday) so both freezers completely defrosted.  They dumped out EVERY SINGLE DRAWER, DRESSER and CLOSET  in this entire house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  (oh yeah, plus my office)

 

I have a carpenter here rebuilding my door right now.
