I had an opportunity this week to spend an evening out at Mica Bay visiting with some clients of mine. They have a spectacular Coeur d'Alene Lake waterview home for sale, and it always a treat to get to "work" in their "neighborhood!"
I snapped a few photos on my way home, as the sun was starting to set. You may not know that Mica Bay, in addition to being the location of a public Coeur d'Alene Lake boat launch on the north side of the bay, and a wonderful Boat Park on the south side of the bay, envelopes some spectacular protected wetlands on the western end of the bay. It has been adopted by the Coeur d'Alene Audubon Society.
The wildlife and waterfowl that congregate there are a splendid sight to see, and it's well worth the drive just 10-15 minutes south of downtown Coeur d'Alene to view. Just follow the signs at the highway to the Mica Bay Boat launch and you're there in a minute!
