Here’s a little well-earned comic relief I received. We who work in the short sale trenches for our weary clients are always delighted to receive a message from our negotiators.
It means things are moving along, progress is being made. It means we have something constructive with which to update our clients as well as the buyers who are waiting for a response to their offer.
One of the first things I do when I wake up in the morning is check for messages from negotiators. I have found that many of them work at night, many of the rest of them are in the Eastern time zone three hours ahead of my Pacific time. And they like to send out their messages first thing.
90% of the messages I get from negotiators are sitting in my box when I wake up.
So imagine my confusion to get the following message when I first stumbled out of bed. Was I seeing things, was I not quite awake, was my brain scrambled for some reason? I eventually realized that the problem wasn’t my lack of mental acuity, but the message was pure jibberish. I can’t help but smile when I read it. I imagine a poor, overworked and underpaid negotiator who has just surpassed his ability to deal with his stack of hundreds of short sale files for one more minute…
“assisted for all the doc by mistake did not updated the buyer company comments in equator for proof of funds”

and that was the supervisor!
I guess you are just finding out that they are all in India!
Hi Janna, Whatever you do - hold him to his word !!! LOL
Perhaps it is a computer automatically programmed to respond as a ditsy human...?
Wow.what?huh?...I hope you wrote back with an equally confusing email. I'm guilty of writing such nonsense from time to time...I try to read everything before clicking send anymore
Working with banks can do that to you!
This is a great lesson for those who refuse to edit their messages before clicking SEND...
Well, I am glad someone else thinks they are underpaid and overworked. To me, it is just an example of banks not really handling the mitigation of these losses as well as they should, which I'm sure would make their shareholders go absolutely crazy.
I think they are stuck on TWITTER mode and are trying to send a message in 140 characters or less. So much for a structrued sentence.
Hi Janna, this was meant to take the place of the daily "jumble" puzzle in the paper. If you figure it out...you win!
Sadly it sounds like the bank hired someone who deals with English as a second language. Or the asset mgr is actually off shore?
That is one overworked negotiator. Hopefully it won't carry over to the deal.
Hi Janna, Maybe it would be equally funny to respond in pig latin.
too funny!
I sometimes know how they feel. They seldom get a kind word either.
Janna:
I agree with other who say at least you heard something from the negotiator. They know you are alive, but you really need a coherent message.
LOL, that seems to be what we hear from most of the short sale or foreclosure negotiators.
Hmm, that is perplexing. I'd shoot an email back saying, "What?!!"
Janna - Definitely jibberish. I can't make heads or tails out of this either.
Wow, that is so sad, what do you suppose the real message was. I agree with Tammie, I would send a reply that said "WHAT does this mean????"
