I picked up a copy of Daniel Island News while visiting my daughter last week on Daniel Island, SC and read an article by Katherine Smith with statistics from the local board of realtors. Looks like Daniel Island is doing very well as is all of the Charleston/Mt. Pleasant markets from what I can tell. I am doing a loan for a buyer that bought a house near Daniel Island that he got the day after it was listed. He was competing with 4 other buyers so his Realtor did something that I have never heard of anyone doing. She helped the buyer make an offer that basically said that I will beat the best offer by $1000! He got the home and the other Realtors never knew what hit them.
