Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty forms alliance with Wachovia Mortgage to offer wide range of mortgage alternatives

LAKE MARY, Fla. - Stirling Sotheby's International Realty has formed an alliance with Wachovia Mortgage to offer a wider range of mortgage alternatives to buyers of luxury homes throughout Central Florida.

Roger Soderstrom, founder and owner of Stirling Sotheby's International Realty, said he agreed to enter the alliance because Wachovia offers a broad range of mortgage products and the ability to originate both secondary and portfolio loans. Wachovia is currently recognized as the number one bank and mortgage lender in customer satisfaction by J.D. Powers.

While I understand real estate companies desire to share in the revenues of the mortgage originations that come out of their offices, I'm also concerned when I see these relationships that the consumer might not be given all of their options.
