Take on the Upcoming year for the housing market.

Services for Real Estate Pros with BeatYouThere.com
I am curious to see what real estate professionals see 2008 holding for the housing market across the country.  Many areas have still remain untouched, i.e New York City, but the majority have seen major drops in value and increase in inventory.  I believe that the market as a whole will start to recover in late 2008 but I think that it is very hard to generalize due to the fact that real estate is very regional and for someone to say that we will be in a slump until 2009 is being ignorant to that fact.
I am the CEO of a new real estate search engine, www.BeatYouThere.com and it is our goal to make searching for real estate easier.  Instead of having to search through dozens of sites and not knowing if you are getting everything that is really on the market, we will be providing a solution.  It will take some time, but we feel we have a pretty good grasp on it, even prior to launch.  We will be launching with millions of listings from numerous sources (Realtytrac, realtors, classified sites, etc).  We are not backed by big VC's because we feel that we need to keep control over how the site is run and how it helps not only buyers but also agents.  Our site will also have a social networking platform that will change the way that business is done in the real estate industry.
We would love to hear your comments and if you would like to be notified of our launch, please drop me a line.

There is a different "feel" since the first of the year. Open Houses are busy, and I believe genuine buyers are out there. In my community, homes are going into escrow and closing. Stay positive, and 2008 will be great.
