Changes to Active Rain Site Search

I would like to thank Active Rain for changing the site search engine. Previously everyone was able to search Profiles, Groups, Blogs, and Blog Comments. The search engine has been changed.

The updated version allows you to enter your search word or phrase and select Search. You can now decide after the search results come up whether to further sort your search by:

Blogs
Groups
Members
Questions
All

I encourage everyone to make use of the search tab on the top menu bar. This is a great tool that you can use to find answers to your questions or search for ideas when you have writers block.

Good to know, thanks for the info. I do search for things occasionally and find this function very helpful.

Jennifer, I use the search everyday. I'm glad they now have the ALL choice

Thanks for sharing this really useful info. I have gotten frustrated in the past looking for things cause I couldn't narrow far enough.

Linda, I believe you can further narrow any search by placing the phrase in quotation marks. Yes, sometimes everyone writes about the same thing.

Not only can you search for ideas you can search to see if your blog idea has been written about. This is a nice improvement and will be helpful. Thanks for keeping us informed!

This is a great feature. It was sometimes very difficult to search for relevant information. I'm hopeful that this will greatly assist in that regard.
