Even AR Ambassadors can learn things at AR University Boot Camp!

Yesterday I was in the Part 1 class of the 4 week AR Boot Camp. I'llAR Boot Camp be honest, I kept busy doing other things while I listened to Bob Stewart explain how to write a post.

 

I kept the screen open and the volume up so I could glance over if he hit on something New to Me.   BINGO it didn't take long!

When he was teaching how to insert pictures - and I've actually written a tutorial on how to do this - he covered some areas that I didn't know!

When inserting pictures, after hitting "upload" you can adjust the picture's size, alignment and white space around it. I've done this for a long time.

What I learned new was how to make the text wrap around the picture like how you see it in a professional publication. What's the difference?

Look at the picture at the top of the page. Aligned to the Right, 300 AR Boot Campx 200 pixels (that's the size) and 20 pixels on the vertical and horizontal white space around it. 

Now look at the one below. Same information but aligned to the left.

What else is different? See how the lines of words are straight on the left and the right just to the right of the picture?

You can get this look by highlighting the text then going to AR Boot Campthe tool bar and clicking on the even edges alignment key.

 

 

Easy. 

And doesn't it look nice too!

I was in a meeting and couldn't attend, and like you I am hoping to get a refresher course. It never hurts to see if things have changed or are now better than when you learned how to do it.

Oh Connie- I had 2 screens going while listening to Bob.  And you're right.. I learn something everytime I listen to one of the webinars!  I did learn that if I want to resize my pic I have to have my post opened in Firefox, not Google Chrome, unless I'm doing something wrong.  What browser are you using?

Ann - I do too and I'm always open to learning new things.

Kathy - Right now I'm back to Explorer but the laptop is very new and I haven't loaded everything yet. I have always been a firefox fan but I had trouble with it on my last NEW computer. I bought it in May and it was stolen in July!

Funny Connie, I was doing the same thing.  I thought I would just listen and keep the volume up.  I was over to that computer writing down some important stuff he was teaching.  Like what you just wrote about.  Awesome class it was.

Looks super clean Connie!  Way to jump into Boot Camp and realize even the most seasoned members can learn a thing or two!  Very Ambassadorlike!  :)
