Brooklyn Public Schools K-12 & PTAs Lowes offers grants To Help With School Improvement Projects- Lowes' Tool Box For Education 2012

 

 Lowe’s Toolbox for Education program  grant awards to help with  school improvement projects at K-12 public schools. Over the past 6 yrs  the program has donated over $30 million to more than 6,000 schools. Schools looking for funding towards  facility enhancement (both indoor and outdoor), landscaping/cleanup projects as well as technology-based improvements are urged to participate in the project. 

  • Eligibility: Any individual U.S. public K-12 school or nonprofit parent group associated with a public K-12 school is eligible to apply. Parent groups that are applying (PTO, PTA, etc.) must have an independent EIN and official 501(c)(3) status from the IRS.

  • Funding: Grant requests must be between $2,000 and $5,000 per school. Lowe’s will donate $5 million to schools and school parent/teacher groups at more than 1,000 different schools during the school year.

  • Deadline: October 12, 2012

Sylvia, roy and joan- its great that stores like Lowes provides these type of funding to schools , especially when most school district have seen a decrease in their budgets.
