How to Get to Mars...Wow!
Check out this awesome YouTube video animation showing the full re-enactment of NASA’s Mars Exploration Rover mission (MER). The animation shows the journey from lift off here on Earth to landing and deployment on the surface of Mars 7 months later. I am amazed at the ingenuity and genius of American scientist and I am honored to call the United States of America my home and my country. How to Get to Mars..Wow!

I watched this video just recently and it's really amazing how these scientists are literally shooting a little "bullet" at a moving target that takes weeks to arrive. Have you seen the pictures of the new rover's tracks on Mars?

John, one has to be impressed with the results of the teams of engineers that all worked together to pull that off. Years of planning, second guessing, thinking up the absolute worst case scenarios and having the intelligence to prepare for a calamity that they hope will never happen.

On the basis of all the responses, not only are people fascinated by this video, there seems to be a sense of national pride. Our country has been able to accomplish this awesome feat. Here is the sad narrative though...congress is playing political football with this very thing.
