Inspiration from nostalgia

from my diary

In times of crsis when people have to make important decisions of what might be taken with them, family records and photographs feature highly.

Many times during thirty years as a commercial photographer I had to search my archives to recreate record of events lost through disaster or mishap.

For myself, my important things include my day books, journals and diaries.

Rather than being historic in nature, these often record my feelings on events and people  in my life. I tend to write my thoughts daily (for about ten minutes), not necessarily for immediate editing or action, but to be put away for later (often years later) perusal.

Later reading of my thoughts produces the gems of my life, and inspiration and direction for my future.

One of those moments in life when "nothing else could possibly matter other than the moment"..............made me smile Larry.

awwww Larry aren't children special? I love the little ones.

I have a journal but don't get to write in it often as I rarely have time to do so. Wrapped up in something called Active Rain and working two jobs will do that.
