There is this great tongue-in-cheek quotation that goes something like this:
I hope my heart is never as good at ignoring people as yours is...
It is a biting judgment, definitely self righteous, but you feel that way sometimes with how people respond to you in business or personal situations. What we need to do is
Understand The Ignoring Factor
The reason I said it is judgmental is it is in fact THEM not something YOU are doing that causes them to ignore you. I have a big philosophy about NOT chasing business or people for that matter. In the end if it is meant to be, it will happen. YOU CANNOT FORCE IT. Sometimes you do not know what status people are at with that exact moment in time. They may need to grow more, get better communication skills, get more comfortable or have a much higher level of DISCOMFORT to stop ignoring you.
Being ignored hurts, you don't feel important, you don't feel valued for WHO you are. But be strong within YOURSELF, knowing you are just fine. Over communicate, be professional, be THERE for people and they will either see what a great individual you are or the chemistry is just not plain right with some people and you. The universe has a way of balancing this all out in the end I have found. The people who CONNECT with you are like some ULTIMATE MAGNETISM in the end, even if it takes patience.
