Want an usual, fun, and really cool outdoor place nearby to go with the kids this fall?

The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring
Friends School is the largest outdoor Aerial Park in the country.
Located on 5 of the 140 wooded acre campus of the Sandy Spring Friends School, the park offers monitored tree climbing for all ages.

There are 197 platforms high in the trees, interconnected by 30 zip lines.  There are six difficulty levels from beginner to outrageous, obstacles and fun (I'm in with the begginers and 5 year olds!).  Tree Climbing participation in the park is for 5 year olds and up.  They have an "always locked on" climbing system.

I love outdoor adventure parks! They have a park like that on Victoria in Canada that I did with my family on vacation. It was the highlight of our trip! The prices were about the same as this park and it was worth every penny!

Wow, what an amazing looking place. We have something similar here that we take "behaviorally troubled" kids to and where they learn to work together as a team. I've never done it with our kids, though, and would love to. Wish we were close enough to try yours. Great localism post.
