I was sitting on a park bench in Paris, resting my feet after miles of walking around the city.  And there was a statue there of some nice lady who I believe had been a friend of Catherine Medici.  Anyway, I looked away for a minute and when I looked again, she had donned some rather interesting headwear.

Luckily, I had my wonderful Nikon P500 on my lap, and was able to get a quick shot of this interesting chapeaux, without getting very close to the subject.

For some reason, I just know I'd enjoy sitting and having an "adult beverage" with you some time Patricia..........great photo and sense of humor, as always.

Excellent idea, Roger!  One with a few of the heavenly olives from Olive Guy at the Marche Biologique!  I came so close to trying to smuggle in the ones we didn't get a chance to eat!

Bill, we just got back, so now it's time to sort through a zillion photos and recover from jet lag!

I've seen some great plumage on hats, but never the whole bird.  Love it!

Looks like she may be getting a little extra hair cream, for free!  I suppose you rub it in and let it stay?  Or should it be rinsed?

In Portland, Oregon, the city across the bridge - and in Portlanida - a fun phrase is "put a bird on it. "  Meaning in "Portland, you can put a bird on something and call it art." So, since this bird is sitting on art. It's quite redundant. Lol. However, you've got an artistic eye for sure!

How fun that you went to Paris.  Now that's a vacation.  The pigeon looks right at home on this statue.

When I look at the lady's glorious hair, and of course her choice of a hat, I must compliment her on her fashion sense:-)

Pat, LOL ... I'm sure the statue is wearing more than the hat!  What a great photo.

Pat, isn't it just like Paris to have the latest fashion statement?  And you, my dear are right on top of it....(pardon the pun). Vogue could use you as a fashion photog...good eye.
