Asking for help need not be traumatic....time to delegate!
Control freak? Nah! Just want to learn by doing as much as possible.
But there comes a time when we need to get help.
Just as it was worth it to hire a housekeeper because “my time is better spent doing something else to make money”...
So it is to hire someone to help me with bringing my website up to speed, and to take care of other things related to it because “my time is better spent doing something else to make money”...
A long long time ago....
I was proud to be one of the first in my previous agency to
...create my personal website and manage it myself (using Point2Agent)
...first to buy (and maintain) from GoDaddy.com several domains relating to my market area
...first to post listings and open house on Craigslist (so you can figure out how long ago that was)
...first to use Vflyer for posting listings online and on Craigslist
...first to use Docusign
...first to blog on ActiveRain
...first to start answering questions on Trulia
...first to post listings on Zillow
...first to start posting on Facebook before it became the behemoth it is today
...first to use Dropbox
When did I become Rip Van Winkle?
But today, I am finding that I am behind on many new and creative ways to network and to market my services. I just can’t keep up! Heck, I haven’t even used Instagram or Pinterest yet.
So it’s time to throw in the towel and rely on the subject matter experts to help me in things I cannot do on my own, starting with consolidating my personal website with my company-provided agent specific website. Alain Pinel Realtors’ website is so robust that there’s no reason why I couldn’t take advantage of this and other services they offer.
We have the means to do a drip campaign. Heck they even provide the content. So why aren’t I taking advantage?
The simple answer: I don’t have the time to learn all these new stuff. I use only what I feel I need to know at the time. But in this ever-evolving market, standing still means I only get farther and farther behind.
Rescue me!
So I’ve hired someone to help me starting with my website....then we’ll segue to drip marketing and newsletters...and then we’ll...
I feel like a huge burden is off my shoulders simply by bringing in the experts. It’s one of those things that I should have done a long time ago!
