I have been a member of Active Rain for 7 days now; in these 7 days I receive 1-2 e-mails a day from commercial lenders, hard money guys and a host of other idiots trying to get me to use/buy their product or service. Some of these folks are AR members with very, I mean very basic profiles others are non-members cruising AR looking for their next client. I know what you're thinking big deal it's an extra 1 or 2 e-mails a day but, I've only been here 7 days how much worse will it get is my thought.
To the AR members sending out blind solicitations, if I wanted your product or service I'd hunt you down and make contact. Although based on what I've seen so far you'd be less likely to get my business because you don't contribute. Hell, you don't contribute a decent profile, all I know is you work for ABC Hard Money Corp or the Commie Commercial Corp. Hmmm, yep, I'm gonna send my clients to some yahoo who doesn't take the time or initiative to complete a profile and contribute to this great community. Is that a bird flying by? Nope it's my finger!!!!!!!
Spam is out control as it is without so called "professionals" spamming the hard working professional with crap like "Commercial Hard Money deals in 5-10 days!" or this e-mail: (yeah I wanna go work for this company),

This flipping jack hole doesn't have the decency to provide a legitimate e-mail address nor does he tell me anything about his company, which leads me to believe it's probably a fraud infested shop. I guess what I'm trying to get across here is that in today's electronic age we don't need idiots (or is spam artist politically correct) filling our in-boxes with septic tank junk. <end rant>
Update: Just my luck I get a commerical loan opportunity this afternoon. Anyone know a good commerical lender?
Update: 01/14/2006: Here's another one, this person only has 25 points and has the nerve to post a solicitation in the comment section of a post of mine.
