Hi all: I had the opportunity to help two of my friends move recently. It was a couple of  long days and nerves were frayed to say the least.

I'm starting to wonder if helping people move is the right thing to do. I still believe it is and want to pay it forward.

The thing I needed to keep reminding myself is how stressful it is for someone to pack up their belongings and move them to a new place. In some cases, years worth of stuff has been accumulated. One of my friends seemed to be holding onto years worth of garbage. I still tried to put myself in their shoes.

I do know this. We were put on this earth to be there for others. I'm being honest in hoping that I don't get asked soon to help someone move but if I am I probably will. If you have it in you to undertake and help someone move, be sure to block out a full day, take two aspirin and call me in the morning! Have an incredible day!

Paul I don't mind helping people move as long as they have everything packed up and ready to go the day of the move.  If they haven't taken the time to pack before moving day, I help them move the big stuff like furniture, and say my goodbye's.  I don't mind moving things but I hate packing their stuff for them.
