Motivational Power Quote

When the Grass is  Greener

“The grass may be greener on the other side of the fence but you still have to mow it.”

Proverb

As I see it . . . . . . .

When the grass is greener

The grass always looks green on the other side of the street.

As you continue to look across the street the grass looks green and greener to the point to where your glass is not longer looking as green.

You make the choice that it’s time to cross the street and to begin enjoying the benefits of the greener grass.

When you get to the other side of the street you will find that the grass is a bright shade of green. You also will discover if you want the grass to remain green you going have to maintain it . . . . Fertilize it . . . . And if you don’t want it to turn to weeds  . . . . You’re going to have to mow it.

You don’t have to cross the street to have greener grass . . . . You have to the green grass and if want to make it greener your going to have to work at it.

When the grass is greener . . . . Someone worked hard to make it that way.

Love your quote Lou,

“The grass may be greener on the other side of the fence but you still have to mow it.”

Proverb

in my case this is a literal situation, the lady across the street is the only one on our block who has been watering her lawn all summer.

Lou, cross the street and look at our own 'grass' - does it look greener? So, why not mow the lawn on OUR side and enjoy the greener GREEN....lol.

I hadn't heard the mowing part before, but certainly the part about the grass being greener. The grass being greener has never made any sense to me. I always have to take care of my lawn, not my neighbors.

What a wonderful analogy, Lou.  Yes, most things do take a lot of work and care, and we often forget that.
