WallMarker Chalk Picture HangerWallMarker, an arrow shaped piece of chalk, makes picture hanging easier when staging a home. How? The adhesive side sticks to the back of the frame. You then press the picture against the wall where it will be hung, and wall-ah! You have a chalk mark pointing to where you will hammer in the nail or hook.

WallMarkers are reusable and come in a pack of two, a blue for light walls and a yellow for darker walls. The price is right at just $2.99 plus a small amount of shipping and handling. Order them here, I did!

Great product. I have also seen another tool that is available to do the same thing. It is a yellow plastic tool with a hook on it and it punctures a hole at the exact location of the hanger. I was thinking about purchasing it. I haven't had a chance to go and look at it in the store yet. This product does the same thing it seems for much less money.

Kenneth and Chris - You are welcome!

Kathy - You can't beat that price :)

Kristina - And you can hang the picture by yourself. Another problem solved!

Thanks, Rachel... what a cool product!  BTW I really like your logo... very cute.

Way cool.  I would like to try it.  I do have the device that Kathy mentioned above, which works well unless the artwork is heavy then it is hard to use.  However, the chalk sounds like a perfect solution.

01/19/2008 06:26 AM by Sandra Hughes-Redesigned Spaces-Virginia Redesigned Spaces - Fairfax County, VA (Redesigned Spaces - Northern Virginia)

I have a homemade tool that works well except for heavy artwork--take a paint stirrer, put a  screw into one end--I taped the end because I was afraid it would split.  Then you can hang the artwork on the screw, hold the paint stirrer up where you want the art to be and gently press the pointed end of the screw into the wall so you know where to put the nail.

I love this chalk product--It would be great for hanging something with two hooks--like mirrors.

Thanks!

A perfect solution!  On my way to order them now.  Thanks!

Oh this is great that totally takes away the two nail holes from hanging the first pic too high or too low, I will definitely order these. I wonder if Home Depot or Lowe's carries these?

Thanks Phyllis Pafumi

Rachel - this looks like a great idea. I hate hanging pictures - it takes me forever. One quick question - does the chalk mark come off the paint when you take the picture down?

Rachel,

I love, love , love this! I've been using this contraption that works well with lighter pieces but this is much simpler and looks like it would work with anything. Thaks so much for sharing.

Kim, Mary, Cindy - It is fantastic!

Holly - Thanks!!! Staged Makeovers is very proud of the logo. Our branding really sets us apart and is memorable. Our graphic designer is out of Hollywood and does work for movies and television replicating magazines, food boxes, signs, etc. for the sets. Talk about staging!

01/21/2008 05:23 PM by Rachel Backus - www.stagedmakeovers.com (Staged Makeovers)

Sandra - I haven't tried the tool myself but the chalk is so easy and lightweight.

Debra - Very clever homemade invention! The WallMarker will be great to use when I need the two holes marked at once. You are a smart stager :)

Kathy and Cindy - Let us know how you like them!

01/21/2008 05:28 PM by Rachel Backus - www.stagedmakeovers.com (Staged Makeovers)

Phyllis - I haven't checked into any stores, but the shipping might have been cheaper than gas. Ha ha!

Stephanie - the chalk will come off of paint. Not so sure about a textured wallpaper, but I'm guessing it will with a damp cloth.

Kathleen - Some of these inventions are really ingenious, makes me wonder why I didn't think of them first too. There is almost always a better way of doing things. That's what staging is all about :)

01/21/2008 05:33 PM by Rachel Backus - www.stagedmakeovers.com (Staged Makeovers)

Thanks for sharing.  Who would of thought a blue chalk arrow.... ?
I currently use the Picture Plumb which is what I think someone above was explaining.
It works fantastic but with these chalk arrows being so affordable, I think I'll order a set to have on hand as well.

Here's the link to the Picture Plumb http://www.picture-plumb.com/

This is a cool thing that is sure to impress the clients if they see you at work. I use a bit of double stick tape or a loop of duct tape to regular chalk to make the mark. This looks much more professional. I have light colored chalks for white walls and plain white for other colors.   I also have a tool very much like the picture plumb that can be awkward to use.  Blue arrows seem to be a great alternative.  Will have to check them out!  Thanks for sharing.
