I just wanted to share with you some things I learned on my way to Page 1 on Google.

My site Atlanta Georgia Real Estate,  after 10 months from it's "SEO Birth" made it to page one for 7 fo my 10 city keywords + Real Estate.  Here are some tips I learned from my journey.  I feel like these 4 were the most important ones of them all!

1. A lot of targed content.  Targeting your content is one of the most important things you can do for your SEO.  Write, Write, Write, until you cannot write anymore.  The more original content the better.

2. Obtain important links from Authority sites such as ABCs of Real Estate, Dmoz, and Yahoo Directory.  These links are vital to your SEO success.  Remember Google believes in Quality over Quanity.  So linking to 100s of sites that sell watches & purses in India will probably not net you much credit.

3. Optimize your Title, and Desc, & Keywords using Widexl Meta Tag Tool.  This is a tip I learned from Mary McKnight a while back.  If you haven't had the chance to check out her blog, DO IT NOW!

4. Keep your website content fresh, and change/add to it frequently.  Don't create a great website and let it sit there for months without editing.  The search engines spider sites more that consistly grow and change content.

I hope these tips help!  Let me know if anyone has any questions!

Jennifer, I read Mary McKnights information on Widexl Meta Tag Tool.  It helped me with my description on several websites.  I haven't made it to the front page for two of my sites, but I think it's working.  I'm getting more traffice on my sites.  Great post.  Thank you.

Jennifer, do you write all of the HTML code for your website, or do you have a company do it for you?
