I wonder what my home is worthHmmmm....

There are so many questions to be answered when you decide to put your home on the market.

  • What is the value of your home?
  • What steps need to be taken to get the exterior in the best possible shape for curb appeal?
  • What staging needs to be done to have the interior win the beauty contest that most markets have become?
  • What arrangements will you make for your beloved pets during showings?
  • Where will you  store your valuables?
  • Do you need a lockbox?
  • Can you be home for showings?
  • Do you have to take your family photos down and completely depersonalize your home?
  • Does it matter who you list with?  I know your cousin Lillian is part time and lives about an hour away but she just got her license and you would like to give her the business, but is that really the best use of a portion of the equity in your home?
I can help you answer these questions and more!  As for cousin Lillian, well....  let's talk.  I will do a comprehensive market analysis, provide information on getting your home ready, hire a stager for a 2 hour consultation with you and sit down and work out a strategy for us to get your home sold.  It's a complicated process and I will take you from the listing contract to the settlement table.

Susan,

Your assistant, JJ, seems to be pondering the questions sellers have. All of these questions, and many more, will be answered when sellers get the right agent...and you're that agent in Chester County.

Janis, the puppy earns his keep by just "being".  He's a sweetheart.

Rich, thanks.  JJ pondes a lot.  I wish he could talk!

Susan, I think a lot of sellers don't really know what is exactly involved in selling a home. That is why they need you to market and sell their home.

That cousin Lilian has lost million of dollars in equity and time for many homeowners across  our country. .

Susan, I'll never understand people choosing agents just because they're related to them.  Fine if you want to buy Mary Kay or Tupperware or Pampered Chef with fixed prices and no huge impact to your financial future, but for buying or selling a home??  That's too big of a risk to place anywhere but in the hands of an experienced, professional agent like you.

Good list of questions and the first answer should be to contact you for answers Susan. People need an agent like you who understands the tough process of selling a home.

Susan - if cousin Lillian were smart she would refer her cousin to you anyway, that way everyone comes out a winner ..... seller helped their cousin and still gets the right representation ..... cousin is involved and gets something ..... and you have both a happy seller and a new referral contact.

Thats a pup that could hang out for showings, but potential buyers may well want him included!

Great points about the steps a home seller should consider prior to listing, it takes a lot more than a sign in the yard!

Bliz, I've heard so many sad stories of incompetent family members and friends.

Brian, thank you.

Kathy, that's an excellent solution and one I offer when the seller is feeling mixed loyalties.

John, I couldn't include him, no matter what the offer!
