Season 3 of Treme Premiers September 23
The sound of crowds watching a television show together doesn’t seem like it would be that rowdy, does it? Unless that show is “Treme” and the city is New Orleans. Fans will soon again gather at local bars to watch HBO’s show about the rebuilding of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Shouts of “Yeah, you right?” or “What?! That ain’t how it is!” will be heard from people agreeing, or disagreeing, with how David Simon’s show portrays our beloved city. People are passionate about how their city looks to the world, and in many cases, “Treme” is the only look at New Orleans people will get, having never visited. You can understand why new and old locals alike watch the show with both trepidation and pride.

Season 1 of Treme was about the immediate aftermath and recovery. Showing people returning home, cleaning out, and trying to maintain sanity. Season 2 took on the tenuous time a year after the storm, when crime and recovery were often at odds. Season 3 promises to again tackle corruption, crime and the daunting task of rebuilding “The city that care forgot”, as New Orleans is often referred.
With Saints football and “Treme”, this fall is going to be a great time to be a New Orleanian! Watch the trailer and get ready for another season.
Here is a list of where Season 2 was showing in New Orleans (and hopefully Season 3).
