Why Have an Active Rain Rainmaker Account? Recently, I have had several conversations with potential new members, and even some Active Rain Members, who already have the Free Active Rain Account, about why would anyone want to upgrade to our Rainmaker Account? Yes, I know and understand that many new members sign up for the Free Active Rain Account, simply because they are not ready to spend money on their blogging efforts to take their businesses to an all New Levels.
For me, the answer to the question about upgrading to the Rainmaker Account was easy. Would you rather reach 320,000 members in the real estate industry, or be able to reach over 2.5 million consumers from around the world, who would be interested in your real estate services and products that you provided on a daily basis? Yes, the power of the internet allows you to be able to reach over 2.5 million consumers if you had a Rainmaker Account. Many do not know that Active Rain is right up there with Zillow, Trulia, and Realtor.com when it comes to “Google Power”. Think about it. The Big Three are spending far more than what it would cost you to upgrade to a Rainmaker Account. I love writing my posts, and finding myself on page one of Google. It keeps those phone lines ringing, and it keeps driving all that traffic to my website too.
Now, I would be the first to tell you that this doesn’t happen “overnight”. You must blog on a consistent basis, and you need to find your niche too. If you are the Local Short Sales Expert, or Local HUD Homes Expert, or even a First Time Home Buyers Specialist, you need to blog about it. Become the local expert in your communities, your subdivisions, and be the source of real estate information that the consumers are searching for on the internet, like those market reports, and community reports. First, You do need to decide if you are going to be blogging for business, and who your audience is going to be.
Why, I even signed up for that Free Active Rain Account myself when I first started blogging in January 2011. But, I was given the opportunity to try out the Rainmaker Account for two months before I had to commit to paying for the upgraded Rainmaker Account. Plus, I was even given an Free “Outside Blog” account, which should be used primarily for your niche marketing efforts. For example, posting about Foreclosed Homes in San Antonio, TX.
If you take the effort and the time to “built it”, the business will come, but you need to upgrade today, or as soon as you can to a Rainmaker Account. Remember, only the 320,000 Active Rain Members can see your Free Active Rain Account. So why are you posting all your listings, market reports, and real estate consumer information when the general public cannot see what you are writing? Re-think your Big Why!!

I was one of the lucky few that have been grandfathered into a Rainmaker account - lucky me :D Having a more well rounded site, no matter the platform, works wonder in conversion. Have to simple of a site/account can hurt the wallet.
I am not sure how much more convincing anyone could be. This is a "no brainer" in my opinion, and clearly many others. Glad to see this featured - the word deserves to get out to as many people as possible.

The Google power of Active Rain is easy to test. Write a post on AR..... wite the same post on one of your other bloog sites if you have some.
Wait a day and Google your topic.
Almost always the AR post with the identical content will have much better search placement than your other efforts.
I think you are correct. I upgraded my account and have been consistent about posting. I hope to start seeing some results soon.
