iPad or iPhone for Photos or Videos?

iPad or iPhone for Photos or Videos?

iPadIs any one using their iPad or iPhone for Photos or Videos to post on their mls or use for video blogs?  We are wondering how the quality is and what tools you use.  If so are you editing the video in iMovie on the iPad?  Or do take it over to a full blown editor on a MAC or PC?

We are getting ready to start using video in our listings, pre-listing packets, emails etc.

iPhone 5

Keep in mind Ocala & Marion County median price is $94k, so hiring a professional photographer does not fit in our budget.

Any tips or secrets?

Not here.  I use either a very good digital camera or professional photography, which is my choice most of the time.  How you market a property is important.  The better the photography the more interest it will generate.  What someone sees online influences whether they want to bother seeing the property.  You need the advantage of great photos to give that edge.

One more thing...for videos the answer is yes.  People like the organic feel of a video that comes from these gadgets.

We use an i-phone for video blogging.  If it's just a short piece to let people know something specific, we upload directly to Youtube/Facebook.  If it's a longer segment and we want to enhance it, we use iMovie.  I would suggest the class at the Apple store.  There is so much you can do with iMovie.  I had also been recommended an app called Socialcam.  Though, I haven't had much time to play with it.  Good luck!  I look forward to seeing the other tips you receive.

Hi Bob,

On my team we are Apple people. We shot video and most of our photos on our iPhone. I then sync to my mac book and edit in iPhone. Video shot from my iPhone shoots perfectly then uploads to YouTube perfectly.  I'm not got on board with shooting video or photos with my iPad so I can't comment.
