30 Comments on Referrals in the rain.
I have cultivated a few real good ARfriendships on the rain and would and have sent referals to those members. Occassionally have have called fellow rainers to see if they would help a friend out, so far I have had great luck with finding good agents on AR and I'm sure will continue to do so for referals. I have had 2 AR closings so far in this area. I don't count on any in a year so 1 or 2 just plain bonus and I'm happy to do them... Best wishes to all.
Hand up, waving frantically.
Alan -- you are right, one would prefer to send referals to those with whom one has developed a relationship.
Belinda - no, it wasn't you... in fact it wasn't even Colorado... but I've had a few of these recently, from different states.
Tammy - I wouldn't refer to someone I don't know.
Liz & Bill - indeed.
Terry - it is a direct reflection on us.
Tim - too important to trust to some "unknown".
Tammy - it does, doesn't it. It makes you want to ignore them ... in spades.
Doug - if I don't know who the agent is... I might as well us the relocation channels.
Suzanne - any day including the word "plethora" is a great day.
Janna - not sure I'd recognize you... you've lost so much weight!
Gay - it is, isn't it?
Caron - cultivating those relationships is what it's all about.
Jane - Yes, Ms. Peters!?
Steven - exactly.
Allen,
Well said!
When I don't know any one in the area I will go to AR and research locals. But, I'd never give out a name with out reading both the agents biography and many blogs.
Bill
Alan~ I thought the same thing as Belinda, why did you pick Colorado? It must be because you already know at least 2 fabulous people in Colorado to send your referrals to! Ya, that must be it!
I agree...and you are on my list, for sure! I love the referrals from people I "know" here.
You did a great job of summing up my feelings here. Referals reflect back on you, you need them handled well!
I have given a few and have received a few - it's the commradary and willingness of others to share.
Hand up. Waving frantically wanting to be noticed.
Bill - it only makes sense... your reputation rides with that referral.
Donna - fabulous people in Colorado.
Karen - I'm on a lot of people's list.. unfortunately, it's their Sh!t-lists.
Rob - exactly... the referral reflects on the referree.
Joy - and yet it's nice to know who you're referring to.
Jane - as you know, you've already been the recipient (indirectly) of two referrals from me...
I agree, after all you have to protect your reputation and who you refer to is an extension of you. So important we get to know one another before we send our cheerleaders to a new football team!
Shannon - that's exactly right.... ding, ding, ding!
ALan - always important to have a network of contractors, electricians, plumbers, inspectors and referral agents in the wings... the wings of what I do not know but the wings..
I'm certainly glad I've known and be reading your stuff for years, it made it real easy to send you that referral the other day.
Gay - always important.
Todd - and I was happy to receive it... now we'll see if I can get her to call me back. thanks for the vote of confidence.
You mean you actually have to interact to get referrals? Sheeesh!!!
Laura - I know... ain't life a beach?
Michael - I still do that... CB insists that non-local referrals must go through CB relocation. But if I have the name of an agent in the location... all the better.
