21 Comments on Marketing can be simple
Kathy, that's an excellent response. It seems like a fine line of when to send things and when not. I delete most of my emails as junk.
We like to touch our client base about every six weeks or so, Kathy. Sometimes less, never more. It seems to work.
Sometimes the most simple activity turns out to be the most effective. Keep touching those clients on a regular basis!
Have a reason when you do the emails. I always get response when I do that.
Kathy:
What a thoughtful card to send to your data base. We all felt the pang of sorrow when we celebrate another anniversary of that very sad day.
Your message was true and kind and showed you cared about more than sales love the idea anf great blog congrats on the feature
Debbie, I think you are right!
Connie, I agree with you.
Suzanne, that would be a great time frame.
Mary Ann, it was such a simple message and there was NOTHING relating to mortgages in the email.
Margaret, good point!
Ginger, that is a good rule of thumb.
Evelyn, when I think about that day, it still makes me cry.
Ashley, thank you!
Kathy, marketing to your sphere isn't complicated - and you definitely don't want to bombard people.

Goes to show you never really know what will connect.
Once it again, it shows how important it is to keep in touch and to be genuine and show that you care about your sphere.
Kathy, you sent an email as a remembrance and it garnered business for you. It was more relational and that got a response. Good for you.
I am sure people would welcome your emails since not many people get a lot of them. (smile)
You juts have to care and convey that message.. great example and lesson Kathy!
all these new ideas are coming out along with the technology to use them and I already know that things go full circle just by studying history. In the end, SIMPLE always comes back and is welcomed when it does too...good one and thank you
Good Morning Kathy, I am with you, i HATE getting bombarded with emails yet some seem to see the need to do so not even every day,but multiple times a day. I think once a week is fine if you have something to say but I like your idea as well. Less is better and more gets you blocked. Have a great Monday
Kathy: I think you followed a good course and rule-of-thumb. Deliver something of value ... or earnest ... and business will naturally come as a result. Overt "marketing" doesn't always work. Sometimes the gentle, more subtle touch is far more productive. You saw the results of that. Personally, I find that far more rewarding too. Congrats on your Feature!

Thanks Kathy - you are so right. . . I like the idea of more "random" reasons to send an email - nothing that has to do with real estate, etc.
