Don't Miss San Diego Bayfair at Mission Bay This Weekend!

Fast, loud boats, rocking bands, adult beverages, great food, vendor alley and a kid's zone.  It will all take place this weekend (Sept 14 thru 16, 2012) at ski beach on Mission Bay.  

 

 

There will be over 75 Hydroplane and Drag Boats (super fast boats) competing at the 45th Annual Air National Guard Unlimited Hydroplane Races on Mission Bay.  This is a long course, in fact the longest on the circuit at 2.5 miles!  Since the course is long and straight the speeds will be FAST.  Probably close to 200 miles per hour.  The racing will be loud, fast and very exciting.

 

 

 

But there will be a lot more including 22 bands playing during the three day event.  Each band will get 45 minutes to showcase their talents.  This year, there will a  very wide variety in the types of music performed; rock, latin, reggae, pop, country and probably a few more.  You need a ticket to watch the boats race but not to enjoy the music, vendor village and kid's zone.  A true family festival where there is something for everyone.  But, come early, attendance for the three days is expected to top 100,000.
