Pole photography Halifax - My rig.

Reblogger
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Stars Realty

Paul not only shares his customized pole photography gear but he also shows us a sample photo using the pole to offer an elevated view.  This type of creative thinking can really come in handy especially when you have trees and landscaping that block a clean view of the home.  Elevated views can really enhance your marketing and this blog is a great reminder that creating unique photos can capture the attention of a perspective buyer.

Pole Photogrphy Halifax

For those of you that were wondering how I get

those picts. - I have a Olympus E-mp1 .  Highly

rated for such a light camera. And detachable lens.

I have it mounted on a peice of ridgid fibreglass. You can see the two peices of  aluminum
Are used to tilt the camera. We have 4 servos that are radio controlled that handle
tilt , pan, zoom , and shutter and video buttons.

I had some help from an Engineer to put the thing together. And this is our first
prototype. I even have a video feed down to a monitor on the ground.

my rig

Here it is set up in my yard. Set up maybe to 16 -18'

Used a max gain extendable pole I got from Georgia.

The  tripod we put together fron scratch.

Here is a picture at ground zero - ha.

Here is a shot  I took yesterday of a home in Dartmouth.

Makes for a dramatic look. I did this one for a colleage of mine.

Set -up, shoot and tear down in under 15 min. (I had wind and had to tie off one side)

Basically I'm happy with the whole thing. All I need are a couple open house standards with

4 coro-plastic signs and I've got myself a business!

Good job!   When I first became an agent, I thought it would be so cool to go out and buy one of the remote control helicopters with a camera on the bottom to take photos overhead.   I even bribed my oldest son (techy w/ a remote control airplane) to learn how to fly it and take photos for me.   He tried and tried and brought it back and said, "It's too hard to fly".    So... what did I do?  I put it in the closet.   This makes me want to get it out and try it myself.   Great post.  Thx for reminding me that creativity is worth it and FUN.  Good luck with this listing!   Shanna

I have never seen this done in such a manner. Unique idea to give a different perspective, semi-birds eye view.
