What about the good news?

We often hear that the Real Estate market is in rough shape. Many foreclosures; buyers that will not commit; mortgage lending cut backs; sellers with unrealistic expectations and Realtors with inventory we can't sell.

I chose to focus on the positives! Fantastic interest rates, plenty of inventory and first time home buyers that are excited. Recently I have been working with more buyers than sellers. They are mostly Generation Y'ers. Their understanding and use of cutting edge technology is amazing. It makes our job easier in some aspects and harder in others. They tend to be knowledgeable, rational and close to making a buying decision. They are fun to work and if it is their first home, the feeling of helping to get them to the point of having keys to their own home, is phenomenal.

The media reports the national average. I know if varies from region to region. If we search a little, there is good news for us to share. It is a great time to be a buyer in Connecticut.

Good post...we sometimes look at a market from only one perspective. More of the Country right now is in buyer markets and that means a good time to BUY...along with what you mentioned...low mortgage rates. 10 years from now people will look back and say...I should have bought in 2008 when prices and rates were low!
