Nice reminder to add these to our diets...good to eat and good for us!
Hi Tony - Seriously? Those things are edible? I tasted one once and it was awful. And they're don't even make pretty garnishes.
Hi Toni: I agree with Jeanne & Ralph. There's an Indian dish called "buni gobi" that uses cauliflower, and I really enjoy it. It's also good covered with melted cheddar cheese (although probably not as healthy!). Thanks for sharing! :)
Toni, I really need to stop reading food posts before lunch! I really do like cauliflower, it is great just about every way that you can prepare it!
Yum..............love it raw in a salad.
Toni, I have not figured out how to make the "mashed potatoes" from cauliflower that my family likes it, I need somebody to show me!
Bud & Beth - I'll post the recipe later tonight. Just got back in town.
Sharon - me too. Mashed is great.
Jeanne - that does sound good!
Li - you're right; they are good for us.
Dick - everyone is entitled to like or dislike whatever they choose ;)
Andrew - covered with cheese probably isn't as healthy but still really good!
Tony - I'm with you; and raw is wonderful especially dipped in a great sauce.
John - that does sound good. I'll have to try it.
Roger - me too!
Kathy - well, see my answer to Dick above :)
Tanja - I'll post the best recipe I found.
Toni...definitely post the recipe for the Mashed Cauliflower...that sounds interesting and no starch sounds good to me.
Toni, interest history about cauliflowers. I've always liked them, but not sure I can substitute for mashed potatoes
Anita - will try to get it done tonight.
Nick - then don't substitute, just have it on a different day :)
Toni,
Love them also and I also love them in all their glorious colors. My favorite way is to salt them coat them in olive oil and garlic, then stick them in a hot 450 degree oven, till they start carmelizing. Happy Tuesday. A
That sounds great, Alexandra.
Your on to something, Toni! Just today I had to think for an instance to remember if avocados were a fruit or a vegetable. Of course vegetables don't grow on trees:-) Some foods make the mind bend a bit.
Yum yum. It's very healthy indeed. A must add food on every diet. Thanks for the reminder. Enjoy the rest of the week.
Myrl - that's so true and good thing too!
Mike - have a good week yourself!
William - thank you; you are too kind :)
Toni, You're making me hungry, My mom would mash them up, she now does it for the grand kids and they love it.
