Daylily, Longwood Gardens

Longwood Gardens, in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, is a wonderful place to visit at any time of the year.  During the summer months, much color is to be found in the blooms of the bountiful displays of daylilies.

Take your family for a visit with cameras in hand.  Fortunately, Longwood Gardens is close enough to our home n Kentlands, in Montgomery County, Maryland, for easy day trips.  This is a very special travel destination when you expect to be in the eastern Pennsylvania area.  Longwood Gardens is just west of Wilmington, Delaware and is south of Philadelphia.  There is much to see in the area for a vacation trip or if you have extra time on a business trip.

Roy

I should learn to STOP and take pictures. I'll be driving along the shore, and marvel at how gorgeous the day is. I should just pull over and ENJOY it!

Roy, you know for my bit of "lightness of being", it helps by stopping by your blog!  I had to go find the few photos I took of my own daylily that bloomed in July. I LOVE it when flowers bloom--no matter what they are!

Hi Roy, Some singers have a true gift of Voice. Some artists have a skill with a brush that expands  the definition of talent to the stratosphere. You have a unique and classic approach to photographing flowers that is both a gift and an artistry all rolled into one.
