Future Farmers of America (FFA) hosting Craft Sale in Katy Texas

I am going to say I feel sorry for this group right off the bat as I tried to do additional research about their fund raising event and found nothing on the referenced web site. The Morton Ranch High School in Katy Texas Future Framers of America Booster Club will be holding a fund raising craft show on Saturday September 22, 2012.

The fund raising craft show will be at Morton Ranch High school which is located at 21000 Franz Road Katy Texas. Katy ISD has six high schools with a seventh high school to open this next school year. Morton Ranch is one of the 6 High Schools and in my opinion really do not get much notice in the local press or anything else for that matter.

All attendees will find hand-made crafts, artwork and various other handmade and not handmade items for sale. Obviously the Booster Club efforts are going to use the much needed funds so the Morton Ranch FFA group can have another productive year. It is probably fair to say that all of the FFA groups which exist at the various Katy High Schools do not get much attention and I think that is a shame.

Folks if you have some time and want to help a local group made up of outstanding young people then try to attend or contribute to their efforts.

I hope everyone gets put and supports the FFA in Katy Texas. They are a great group of youth that in fact gets little acknowledgment for the outstanding things they do in our communities .

One would think farming here = grape growing. But there is a big farm contingent in the organic business especially produce, olives and cattle. To see great evidence of this, just attend the Town and Country Fair and visit the live stock and farm club attendees areas. cheers cvc
