Gay Marriage is NOT "Bad for Feng Shui" by Laura Cerrano

I just read an article titled, "Greenwhich Village restaurant sued for backing out of gay wedding" from the Daily News, NBC New York and many other news sources.  To be fair, yes, we are all entitled to our own opinions, that why we practice Freedom of speech.  If you do have something to say, please be sure your facts are straight before you speak.

For those who don't know, Greenwhich Village is a huge supporter the gay and lesbian community in NYC. It is also a very festive, trendy and cultural part of Manhattan that offers amazing creative energy for all to experience.  If you are a restaurant owner or person who disagrees with this lifestyle and culture that Greenwhich Village offers, either be open minded and excepting or perhaps it is not the best location for you to do business and live in.

Second, please do not make excuses for what you fear and do not understand by confusing the principles of Feng Shui, a beautiful belief, with a negative portrayal.

“Fong also told Ho that it's ‘very bad’ for Amber Village to book ‘gay parties’ and that big groups of ‘gay partyers’ are especially bad for feng shui.” Quote cutesy of the DailyNews.com

"big groups of ‘gay partyers’ are especially bad for feng shui.”- Fong. This comment is an insult to the essence and meaning of Feng Shui.

Feng Shui is a universal lifestyle practice that opens it's principles and teachings to any age, race, religion and sex, and yes that includes the gay and lesbian community.  The practice of Feng Shui does NOT discriminate.  We are all human, aiming for the same goals; to live a fulfilling and happy lifestyle.

For those who read this story about Gay Marriage being "bad for feng shui," please disregard the negative commentary that has been combined with the ancient art form.  The individual who says, this is "bad for Feng Shui," does not understand the deeper meanings behind this practice.

Hey Janis, Patrica and Jill,

The two topics are not related in how to think or ones personal choice.  The reason for this post is trying to offset The way other media outlets are headlining their stories about this event. It is helping to portray a stereotype that Feng Shui does not except all lifestyle choices, such as Gay marriage which is not true. So this is my attempt to help set the record straight.

Thanks for stopping by :)
