Traditions At Ridley Creek is a 55+ community located on Brookhaven Road just off of Edgmont Avenue in Brookhaven, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. There are eleven 3-story buildings in Traditions at Ridley Creek that are equipped with elevators that enable residents to travel to and from their homes with ease if they live on the second or third floor. There is ample parking for residents and their guests. A clubhouse is located on the property that is used for community group activities and is available for residents to use if there is a need to entertain beyond the confines of their home.
The location of Traditions At Ridley Creek is very good in that it is very close to shopping centers, restaurants, and places of entertainment. Hedgerow Theater in Rose Valley and downtown Media, the county seat are just a few miles up the road. Media also has an active theater and many stores and events.
Major highways are minutes away from Traditions At Ridley Creek and the Philadelphia Airport is around eight miles away. Downtown Philadelphia is roughly 16 miles. SEPTA has a bus stop just up on Edgmont and there is a train stop in Elwyn, just a few miles up Edgmont Avenue.
There are many parks in the area that offer places to walk and to be outdoors such as Chester Park, Taylor Arboretum, Tyler Arboretum, Ridley Creek State Park and Rose Tree Park to name a few. There is a lot to do in Delaware County.
The name for this community is derived from the fact that Ridley Creek runs along part of this property. The trees along the banks of Ridley Creek serve as a backdrop along one side of this property.
