Howdy Every One

Happy breakfast recipe for ya.

The ingredients for this is

1 roll a 12 to 16 oz. sausage package of your liking.

6 bread slices

6 eggs, lightly beaten

1 cup of water

1/2 cup of milk

1 package of country gravy mix or your own gravy.

2 cups of shredded cheese

2 tablespoons of melted butter and something that I like to add Paprika

Directions

1. Crumble sausage into a large skillet, cook it over a medium heat until it's brown, stirring occasionally. Then remove the sausage and drain it on some paper towels. Spread the sausage over the bottom of a lightly greased 11x8 inch backing dish. Cut the bread into 1 inch cubes and set it aside.

2 Whisk the eggs, water, milk and gravy together. Sprinkle the cheese over the sausage. Pour the mixture over the cheese and sausage. Now arrange the bread cubes evenly over the mixture. If you would like drizzle some butter over the bread cubes. Sprinkle it with paprika.

3. Bake at 325, uncovered, for 40 minutes, you can also insert a knife in to the center and if it comes out clean it's done. Now let it stand for 10 minutes before serving.

This will make 8 servings

Have a good one

Now this actually sound like something I could do and manage to look like I knew what I was doing!  Ummmm What is country gravy if I were to make my own?

Thank you for stopping by and commenting. Your a good friend.

Country gravy is most of the time a white gravy made with floor and water, with black pepper add in.

Dale -- This sounds great! I bet it would be fine to assemble this the night before, so that you can just pop it in the oven for breakfast! As for some variations -- I would think it would be good if you added any or all of the following: peppers, onions, and mushrooms. I'd sautee them first, and mix them in with the sausage. A side of cooked apples, and that's an incredible meal at any time of day! Thanks for the recipe!
