Did you know that the Golden Delicious Apple is the Official State Fruit of West Virginia. It was designated as the official state fruit by Senate concurrent Resolution No. 7, adopted by the Legislature on February 20, 1955. This apple variety was discovered by Anderson Mullins in Clay County, WV in 1905. Read about

All I know is Golden Delicious Apples live up to their name! Ahhh.... I can almost smell another hot apple pie :)

I am looking forward to the fall apple season. Each year we buy a bushel of apples some to eat, make pies, crisps and applesauce.
For years and years I went to Apple Fest with my mother in Franklin, PA. So I know how much fun and tasty an apple festival is. Have fun!
