Appraisers - 2007 Year end summations -

What was supposed to me a 15 minute project has turned into a couple of hours of reading over old posts, finding blogs that I had missed and all around reflecting over this group.  I just thought I would take a moment Saturday to thank you all for your contributions and readership as well as observe some of the discussions we've had over the past year so that they might be easy to find later.

Here are some of 2007's highlights by the posters in no particular order...

• Nick M has had us all on the floor laughing while learning
• Robert Elfand lets us know when there are sketchy real estate companies in the news
• Suzi Gravenstuk directs questions to appraisers regarding vacant land appraisals
• Jeremy Cowin brings up appraisal concerns regarding simple misinterpretations of measuring a house to tougher topics like mortgage industry accusations on appraisers 
• Jeremy Saposnek reminds appraisers that 2008 brings changes in qualifications

• Jackson Hartsfield brings us some technical knowledge for backing up appraisal information
• Brian Davis is a real blogging pro with experience coming directly from Appraisal Scoop   He goes to great depths to research appraisal statistics and keeps everyone informed with his newsworthy appraisal posts
• Shane Leady writes about appraisal management groups and asks about our attire
• Krista Reising & Vasel Dedvukaj talk about un-inflated appraisals
• Rita Bradley has been a contributor to our Appraisers Group but posted this blog that I really like regarding equity just days before finding us
• Chris Bradford writes about an often overlooked issue that home owners face: super-adequacy  
• Meg Stewart is looking for opinions about measurement services and who is collecting payment COD
• Samer Haleem wrote about miscommunications between real estate professionals

Check out all of these great real estate professionals' blog posts on their individual AR websites.  They're not always about appraising (which I am grateful for as I like to think we are not slaves to our jobs).  Thank you for all your incredible donation of knowledge and opinion.  It's been a great year, here's to looking forward to the next.
