Weeds... and now we learn that you can make juice and salad from the green parts, even though it is bitter, but they say, has power of healing
Roger, no doubt about it, I am lucky!
Hi Jon, nice new profile photo. Go figure about the greens and the juice. yum?
Lovely photo! It's nice to remember how delightful dandilions seemed back then. Now .. not so delightful.
Hi Mona,
We used to do the same thing as kids. Always liked to watch the seeds fly away. I never knew I would be pulling their offspring later in life LOL.
Have a wonderful evening.
Best, Clint Mckie
Mona, it is truly a small world. My friends and I did the same thing with the Dandelion..... I can truly relate! I grew up not too far from Warren, Michigan and in fact spent time every summer with my Aunt and Uncle there. I still have family in Warren and maintain a Michigan Real Estate License. Thanks for the great photo and bringing back some wonderful childhood memories.
Hi Dianne, who knows? Maybe as adults we should still be blowing the seeds for luck. In fact, I'm on it!
Goodest of Mornings Roger.......yeah, I am ;-D
Hey Clint, pretty funny but I'm thinking you need to jump back on the dandelion blowin' wagon with me.
Hi William, think of all the photo ops if we return to blowing on the seeds!
Hello Jeanne and Ralph, I think our psyches need more attention and dandelion blowing would be a great thing to do at parties, with kids and grandkids. It's kind of like a natural heritage, isn't it?
Good morning to you David, it is truly a small world and sometimes silly little posts like this remind me that maybe if we would all just tune in to each other...we would find we have more in common than not...at least that's my hope. I might blow on a dandelion and turn that into a wish. Warren was a long time ago for me but all happy memories and I'm sure I still have family there.
Mona, a few weeds sometime populate a well manicured lawn. Sounds like you had a good time! Enjoy your day and the cool nights!
good morning Mona. What a great picture. Hard to believe it is real. Lucky is as lucky does. Hummmmm. Have a good day.
Jason, certainly doesn't!
Wayne, I had a great time and I'm looking forward to doing it again.
Sheila, we make our own luck so dandelions shall be my tool of choice, lol.
Mona, I think that every kid has done that! This post does bring back some fond memories of childhood, thank you!
Tony and Darcy, you are welcome ... I love hearing that most of us had those same memories.
Mona, what a graet photo! The last time I blew on one of these, my next door neighbor started to yell at me for aiming at his yard!
Pat, was that the old guy who worked at the Pentagon? Besides, you were aiming at the dandelion, lol.
DeeDee, no kidding!
Pictures like this always bring back good memories of those child activities that we all did.
