Columbus Best Blog 2006

Columbus Best Blog 2006 Review before we get too far into 2007....

When you visit the blog that was Columbus Best Bog in 2006 it has since been changed to Discover Columbus. There is a new 'Columbus Best Blog'... My blogging year on Columbus Best Blog, a RealTown Blog was heavily influenced by Sellsius Blog naming me a Top 10 Women Real Estate Blogger 2006.

Maureen Francis is using the Julian Calander as her excuse...for not having done a year in review of her MI Oakland County blog on Active Rain more quickly...I just never thougth of doing a retrospective of my blog....

Feb. 9, 2006 - Everyone's talking about Zillow because everyone was...

Feb. 21, 2006: Color Coded Trash because it is so Columbus and I got comments!

May. 19, 2006 - Dead Market? because it was about Columbus and I met Sellsius° Blog guys because of this blog entry.... I had been reading their blog. I was a fan. I was thrilled with their comment.

Aug. 5, 2006 - Why are they sitting in a tree? because it is about Columbus, it is odd and Sellsius° Blog cited it when they said I was on the the Top Ten Women Real Estate Bloggers 2006.

Aug. 9, 2006 - "In Defense of HIStory and BlogHERcon" because it is about HER Real Living which is Columbus and women blogging.

Aug. 12, 2006 - The Ten Best RealTown Blogs because I was trying to be encouraging to other bloggers in the way I see Sellsius° Blog encouraging blogging.

Oct. 2, 2006 - Real Living Zillowed? because it was about Columbus based Real Living and Zillow and their strategic partner, Zillow.

Oct. 25, 2006 - A casino in Columbus? because I talked to political bloggers about a Columbus issue... not that a Columbus casino was an issue.. but gambling in Ohio was an issue.

Nov. 13, 2006 - 10 Riskiest US Housing Markets - Fall 2006 because Columbus was on the safest lis NOT the 10 Riskiest list but by using a bad news headline I got sooooo much traffic.

Nov. 26, 2006 - Columbus "Best Goat" because it is about Columbus restaurants and I did not have to eat goat....

Dec. 8, 2006 - Loves Z, Loves Z not because Real Living's love affair with Zillow ended badly...

Maureen Francis started this as a meme sort of. I am memeing all RealTown Bloggers to do a 2006 Review of their blog, on their RT Blog.

If you did four entries on your RT Blog in 2006... what was the best of the four and why? By posting that you'll already have 25% of a similar year of blogging in... before January is over!

I am tagging all of RealTown bloggers via BlogTalk on the Discover Columbus version which is a little bit simpler, a little bit different because of my fear of duplicate content... I want them to join the rest of the real estate blogoshere with their RT Blogs... I am working on the BlogTalk post. I tried blogging an RT blogger during the December meme but the one RT I chose had a mind of his own! Tagged bloggers outside of RT Blogs!

Maureen: You're doing a dynamite job!!! Keep up the good work ... One of these days I'll figure out how to sign in here ... there are just so many places to sign in the course of a day. I heard Matt Heaton from ActiveRain speak at the Inman Connect conference in New York this week. He did a nice job and I will have a report about it in the new RealTown Report blog over the weekend 8-)

Maureen the one I hadn't seen and enjoyed was the Color Coded Trash one. Loved your line: This could become Columbus' Best Pick Up Blog (I think I paraphrased a bit lol)

Carole: I loved that trash entry because of Greg DiSisto and a couple of other RT bloggers comments... other than the first blog in my list I got comments on all the others...that is what makes them stand out for me...that's the payoff...I wish they were all local comments and "come list my house" requests or "I must buy a house from you because you are so witty.." .... There was a local comment on the Color Coded Trash entry. ... I loved the Casino entry because of the input from you and Ohio political bloggers... a group I feared... a group I avoided...

Oooh look another Francis sighting...above...I have to get to BlogTalk and meme (tag) RT Blogs before more of January gets away from me... Happy New Year!

Maureen, I've loved your blog all along. It's an old line, but my chances of getting to Columbus are quite slim and yet I am fascinated by what you tell me about the town. It's your writing style that is so cool (I know that dates me back to what? Say the late'60's, early 70's?). Not to mention that you are my fairy blogmother! I wonder who will be the new bloggers for 2007 on Sellsius?

Bonnie: Thanks. Tops of 2007? Teresa Boardman? Maureen Francis? Jonathan Dalton... no great blogger but he can't win for women bloggers..can he...?? I am thinking of non Active Rain blogs... there is a new explosion of bloggers with some who are just kicking off blogs...on Mary McKnight's blogging platform from what I understand... Or the Tomato blogs? Gena Riede? Roberta Murphy? I have not been paying attention to the RT Bloggers like I used to but a star could just as easily be born there.. 4 out of 10 last year. Carole Cohen.. Many thought Frances was overlooked in 2006 and she is the "Uber blogger" I think that is what Sellsius called her the other day... I don't know what Uber means...but Francesis a living legend. Maybe Liz Householder, Elaine Reese... or some of the other new talent could be the top real estate blogs of 2007...

Maybe Carnac can predict the best of 2007... if Carnac is smart and I know she is there's a great CT blog I've seen...

What a disappointment! I am not sure if there is a problem with BlogTalk or if my post yesterday was censored but I spent a long time yesterday writing a post on BlogTalk tagging RT Bloggers for the meme. I explained what a meme is, I linked to my RT Blog with the meme...

It came out saying "Tag you are it!"

Maybe I will shut down my RT Blog and focus my time on the WordPress Blog.
