It may seem strange that I have a collection of pictures that are... well, doors. It seems I can find something interesting in the strangest places! When I think about doors though, I think of how chapters in our lives open and close. You never know what surprise might be behind the next one. Here are some neat photos I caught...

Each door in your life... may be a new opportunity!

Wow! That is funny that you wrote this blog. You are absolutely right. You have to be very careful not only what doors you open but what doors you enter. I definitely like the last two doors. Great post.

Melissas,

Nice pictures. I'm into doors too.... there's so much intrigue with the door and what's inside.

Nice topic that you created!

Best of the Market to you.

I thought I was the only one that had an inadvertent collection of door pictures.  Actually, I took several pictures of new Victorians in my former Chicago neigborhood, the entrances to these homes.  One of my sisters also painted a special piece for me--you guessed it, another door, this one in an old European home!!  I didn't even realize I was so attracted to this type of art.  That's the realtor in me.  And, yes, life is also about doors that open & close, metaphorically.

Melissa - wonderful doors. I posted a while back about a front door that was excluded from a sale - nice photo of that as well at http://activerain.com/blogsview/Strange-Exclusion?1836  I've seen several ads that have featured a variety of doors.

I love doors, too.  Did you notice that your first pic is actually of 2 doors?  One for the owner, another for  pet.

I am glad to see I am not the only one who likes doors! And here I was thinking how strange I might look!

Sharon- What a neat door! I have NEVER heard of anyone taking a door with them when they move but I can kind of see why they might like to keep that one. Pretty sentimental...

Nancy- I wondered if anyone would notice the two doors in one! :) I love animals so it seems fitting...

I don't think it is strange at all and it is why I like old houses and barns, each is a little bit different and each has their own personality.

Yes, Melissa doors can be soothing, inviting, scary, intriguing and thought-provoking. They do keep our called journey 'Life ' interesting.
