Ocean Ave in Melbourne Beach, FL is one of my favorite streets on the Space Coast! It is loaded with shops, businesses, a beautiful public library as well as a bunch of restaurants and bars. If you find yourself on Ocean Ave in the morning or afternoon...make sure to try Friendly Toast Cafe.
Friendly Toast Cafe offers a full range of breakfast offering including eggs any way you like the, French toast, and great bacon (yum)...but I come for the best pancakes on the coast...they are awesome! The lunch items are also extensive (with daily specials) and very reasonable prices. The Tuna Melt pictured below with about 1/2 lb of tuna, huge portion of chips ($1 more for fries) and a pickle will set you back $5.95...a great value!
The Friendly Toast Cafe was a recommendation from a local real estate friend of mine (my favorite way to find a new place). They have photos on the wall of many regular customers...If the keep serving me such great food at reasonable prices my picture may be hanging on the wall soon enough!
